That's just crazy talk!

I am seriously stumped on what to write about. The past couple of weeks I had so much going on and so I had a lot of stuff to write about. Now, there’s nothing. My life is boring and there really isn’t anything to update you on. :( I guess I’ll just randomly chat about things that pop into my head…

I’m still on my break from school and I’m enjoying every minute of it! I’ve actually been very lazy lately. All day Saturday and all day Sunday I just sat on my butt. I watched some movies, read my book, and even got a chance to take a nap! How nice is that! But this break will soon be ending. I will be back in school on Monday… There are a few perks to being back in school though. 1) Phil does most of the cooking so I have time to work on my homework when I get home; 2) Phil does most of the daily cleaning; and 3) I am just that much closer to being done and graduated!

My friend Jewells informed me that my dog’s sister (Misty) died recently. She was playing and was all excited and then just dropped dead. Sandy, Misty’s owner and I got our dogs for free because the family that had them couldn’t keep that many dogs anymore. Sandy thinks that she got the older of the two and I think I got the older of the two. So technically we don’t know who has the older dog and we don’t know what age they actually are. So, finding out that her dog just dropped dead because she got too excited scared me a little. Since I think my dog is the older of the two could the same thing happen to her? We assume that she is about 10-11 years old and I’ve heard that yorkies have a life span of 12-14 years. That’s sad to think that she might be gone soon… I always thought that I didn’t have to worry about her dying until she was old enough to not want to play anymore and wanted to lie around all day. But if Misty still seemed just fine and was still playing and everything can Precious die just like that too? I know it is silly to worry about something like this but I’ve just never heard about a dog that seems healthy to just drop dead.

That is about all that’s on my mind at the moment besides lunch so until next time…

So my dreams have been crushed once again… I have always been that type of person who has big dreams and high hopes for the future. I basically have my life planned out for myself already. I always said that I wanted a house by the time I was 22, wanted to be married by the time I was 23, wanted to start having kids by the time I was 26, etc, etc. (You get the point). Well, I’m 23 and I do NOT own my own house yet, I’m NOT married. I’m not even engaged yet. WTF… It has been 6 years in May and I’m not even engaged yet! WTF is up with that? Anyways, that is the least of my worries right now. First I want to get the house and that is not going my way right now. Phil and I had a talk a couple weeks ago about talking to lenders and starting to look for a house. The talk went very well so of course I get all excited and start doing my research and all that jazz right away! Two or three weeks go by and we finally have our first meeting with a lender. The meeting itself went pretty good. He said we are pre-approved and we can basically start looking for a house. He showed us two different loans that he thought would work for us. On one loan we would need a 3.5% down payment and the other we wouldn’t need any down payment. Phil liked the loan with the 3.5% down payment because otherwise we would be tacking another $6,000 to our loan if we didn’t have a down payment. That’s completely fine with me. After the meeting though we got into a huge, huge fight and long story short, he crushed my hopes of buying a house soon. He wanted to have 10% down payment plus extra money for a cushion in case something happened. I wanted no down payment and a house NOW. After two hours of arguing we finally came to a compromise. I would save my half of the down payment (which would be about $2,500 for a $150,000 house) and then we would start looking for a house. He of course has his half of the down payment plus a lot more so we are just waiting on me. I told him that once I get my half, we will start to look and he CANNOT go back on his word. He is very fussy about having a security blanket to fall back on and I obviously won’t have that. Once I have my half we will start looking and he cannot go back on his word just because I don’t have a security blanket in my savings. So the question is how long will it take me to save that much money? I have $550 saved already. Only $2,000 more to go! I would LOVE to get my half as soon as possible because I would want to buy a house before our lease is up in November and also before the free $8,000 from the government goes away in December. (That would be a pretty nice security blanket in case something happened.) Anyways, I just felt like bitching a little.

I'M FREE FROM SCHOOL FOR TWO WEEKS!!! I finished my last final on Saturday and now I get two weeks off to relax and not think about school! Yay! Looks like I ended up with an A in both classes. Go me! Next quarter I will have three classes instead of just two. I wanted to take four but the classes are only offered every other quarter so it didn’t work out that way. Now I won’t graduate until March of 2010. Oh well, what are three more months going to do? I guess the good thing is that I won’t be so stressed out. Four classes is a lot to handle when you work full time. Three I can handle just fine! Now, what am I going to do with myself for two weeks? I hope the weather gets nicer next week because I’d like to go on some walks. I think it will be much to cold this week since they are taking snow. I’m sick of being cold! At least we are done with the frigid temperatures….

This last weekend I had a very good time with my friends. Friday didn’t start off the greatest because I had to go to my Great Uncle Mort’s funeral. It was sad of course. After that I went out to lunch with my dad’s side of the family and it was actually quite nice! I usually don’t get along with that side of the family but it wasn’t so bad this time. After that Phil and I went out for dinner because Friday night is our date night. We had a lovely time at dinner and we went home and watched X-Men II.

Saturday I took my last final and then did a little spring cleaning. I took out all my summer clothes and put most of my winter jackets and sweaters away. I also got rid of two garbage bags of old clothes, shoes, and purses! Then I did the usual weekly cleaning. After that I went on a walk with my buddy Jewells and our dogs. Then we got back and watched our Gossip Girl episode we missed. We tried to watch Lost but my computer was being gay so we didn’t get to watch it. But I have it now! When are we going to watch it Jewells? Wednesday night maybe if you don’t work? Then Saturday night we had a poker party. I only won $4 of my $10 dollars back… Oh well, at least I had fun! We also played hack which I haven’t done in a long, long time!!! I suck. I sucked then and I suck even more now. But it is still fun!

Then on Sunday morning Lynsie came over and we watched Twilight! It wasn’t as good as the book but I still enjoyed it. I’m going to make Phil watch it with me later this week! I’m already excited for the next movie!! After the movie Lynsie and I just hung out until the boys were done playing paintball. They came back to my house and it looks like Max took the majority of the hits. Haha Phil only had a couple good welts. Maybe next time I will go with them. It might be fun… Would you other girls be interested in playing paintball with the boys sometime? I don’t want to be the only girl. They would gang up on me. :/

The last time I saw her at Christmas time she wasn't even walking. Now she cruises!

This is the first time JakieLynn didn't cry when Justen tried to hold her. She seems to like him now.

25 Things About Me
1) I need to go shopping because I only have 3 pairs of pants that I can wear to work. 3 pairs of pants are not enough!! I used to have more but I gained a little weight and I can’t seem to loose it again. So I am waiting for a time when Jewells and Rach can go shopping with me…. Hopefully it will be sometime soon because I’ve got the shopping itch!
2) I love food. Last night my boyfriend and I went to Olive Garden to celebrate Valentines Day!! Phil had to work until 5 o’clock on V Day so I didn’t have much time to give him my “surprise”, go out for dinner, and go to a movie. So I gave him my “surprise” on V Day and on Sunday we went to the Olive Garden and went to the movie “New in Town” (I had to talk him into that one). There were definitely some funny parts to the movie but it wasn’t the greatest. I probably wouldn’t want to see it again.
3) I’m going to school to be a paralegal. I started school at the beginning of January and at the end of January I got a promotion at work from a receptionist to a paralegal. Haha I guess I don’t really need the schooling now! I’m going to keep on going though because it will be good to have a degree when I want to move on to a bigger law firm that will pay more. I will graduate in less than a year!
4) I love my boyfriend Phil very much. We have been dating now for…. 6 years in May. Wow, 6 years!
5) Phil and I have two adorable dogs. We also have a cat but we don’t see her too often because she lives at her Grandma’s house. We have a female named Precious (I call her Mama) and her son Vader. I don’t know what I would do without them! They are like children to me.
6) I want to get married. No, I really, badly want to get married! I at least want him to ask me to marry him soon. :( We probably wouldn’t have a wedding until the fall of 2010 but it would still be nice to get engaged. It’s been 6 years for crying out loud!
7) I want to move!!!! Phil and I live in a duplex in Baldwin and I want a house so damn bad. I have wanted a house since before I moved out of my parent’s house. I want to get an old farm house out in the country somewhere with a couple acres of land. Phil and I have discussed buying his mother’s house. She has the perfect location but I don’t like the house and Phil wouldn’t ever bulldoze it and build a new one. I’m open to talking about buying it but I think I’d rather look elsewhere.
8) Once we get a house then I can finally get my golden retriever I’ve been dying to get! I had golden retrievers growing up and I just love them to death! I can’t have a big dog until we get a house though… it wouldn’t be fair for the dog to have to spend all his time in a tiny apartment. :( Once we move though, I’ll be getting my golden!
9) I’m addicted to the twilight series! I’m on the 4th book right now and I don’t want it to ever end. I’m torn between seeing the movie and not seeing the movie. I want to see it badly but I also don’t want it to ruin the picture I have in my head about what everyone looks like, etc. I also don’t have anyone to talk to about the books and all I want to do is talk about it! Phil only read up until book 3 and I don’t like talking to him about it because he has opposite views as I do. And Jewells won’t talk about it! Poo!
10) I wish I had more money so I could travel more often. I want to see more things before I die and I haven’t gotten the best start. I’ve been to Washington, Las Vegas, Chicago, and the US Virgin Islands. I’ve also been other places like Wyoming but that was when I was a child and I don’t remember too much of it. I would go anywhere! Just a few places I’d love to go are: Scotland, Greece, Italy, Australia, Mexico, New York, California, and Hawaii.
11) My idea of a good night is sitting in front of my huge TV and watching my shows or watching a good movie. I’m kind off a homebody…
12) When I do feel like going “out”, I like to go to the Dive or any place that I can drink and dance. It’s nice to get out and shake it for a few hours. :) I think it is time that my ladies and I need to go out and have a ladies night! I think they would agree. :)
13) I hate drivers who drive in the fast lane and go 65 miles per hour! And then stay there after they pass someone. It really annoys me. I have a little road rage in me. I find myself swearing at people and giving them the “glare” if they piss me off.
14) I miss my little sister. I haven’t seen her since Christmas and she is at the perfect age of 1! My mom said she would get up here to visit sometime in February. Hopefully she can make it.
15) I wish my brother and I were closer. We were extremely close growing up but once we hit 14-15 we basically stopped talking. It wasn’t until about a year ago that we started talking again but we still aren’t as close as we used to be. I also wish I was closer to my parents. I don’t really know what to say to my dad and so much has happened with my mom. I still love them a lot but I just feel… very disconnected.
16) I worry about my mom all the time. I always wonder if she is still sober when she calls. I like to believe that I can trust her now that she has a baby but deep down inside I don’t. I know she means well and I know she is fighting it with everything she’s got but sometimes that isn’t enough.
17) I love my friends to death. I get to see them every Monday which makes me very happy but sometimes that doesn’t seem to be enough. Every Monday we switch off houses. Tonight we are at Jewell’s house. We usually play Wii, watch movies, watch TV, or just hang out and chat. In the summer we go on a lot of walks which is really nice. Except when we walk over to the DQ! Then the walk was pointless! :)
18) I’m completely exhausted by the end of the day and I don’t know why. After I get home from work I work on homework for an hour or two and then 8 o’clock runs around and I start to feel exhausted. By 9 o’clock you’ll be sure to find me asleep! It is hard to explain how exhausted I get. I seriously CANNOT keep my eyes open. If I fall asleep on the couch, it is hard to get up and go lay in bed. I get plenty of sleep so I don’t know why I’m exhausted by the end of the day. Why can’t I just stay up until 10 or 11? Phil says that I should start taking some vitamins… Guess it wouldn’t hurt to try!
19) I wish it was nice outside so I could take my dogs for a walk. In the summer, I go for as many walks as I can. Vader loves it, especially when his cousins can come along! :)
20) I sometimes wonder what my life would be like if I was more outgoing and not so quiet/shy. If I could change one thing about my personality, it would be that.
21) I love the weekends because I can sleep in and cuddle with my puppies! Vader loves to cuddle in the morning. He usually wakes me up by sitting on my chest and pawing my face very lightly. Then he will lie on my neck until I get up. It’s really cute!
22) I love the feeling of clean! I love getting out of the shower and knowing that I’m all clean. I love putting on clean clothes. I love getting into bed after I have washed all the sheets and blankets. I love coming home after we have cleaned the entire house bottom to top!
23) I am a very organized person. My desk at work used to be in perfect shape until I moved to a different desk. The person before me was not quite so organized. It has been bugging me ever since I sat there and I haven’t had the time to clean and rearrange.
24) I love Coldplay! I went to their concert with Jewells in November and it was AMAZING! I can’t wait until they come back. There is not one single song on all their CDs that I do not love.
25) I love sleep. I can’t get enough of it! If I could get 10 hours of sleep a night, I would be sooo happy! There just isn’t enough time in a day!
