The Embarrassing Truth

8:23 AM Posted In , Edit This 0 Comments »

Losing weight after having a baby SUCKS.  If you’ve been there, you know what I’m talking about.  I’m now to the stage where my “fat pants” are getting too big for me but I still don’t fit into the majority of my old pre-pregnancy pants.  I am still losing weight and plan to try and get back to my old size so I don’t want to spend money on new pants just for them to not fit me in a month or two.  But then again, what if I can’t lose any more weight…  Tough decisions.  So right now I’m living with wearing pants that are either too big or ones that I can’t button and I have to use the rubber band trick.  I’m proud to say that I only have about 11 more pounds to go.  This seems like a lot to some women but I am somewhat embarrassed to say that I gained 63 pounds with my little one.  He was worth every single pound but that was a lot of weight to gain for my small frame.  52 pounds down, 11 to go.

New Set of Wheels

After years (yes years) of bugging my husband to buy a new car and about a year of actually looking and more serious nagging about buying a new "used" car (due to having a baby) we finally bought one!!!  Phil was very specific on what he wanted and there aren’t very many out there in our price range.  We ended up buying a Mini Cooper S.  It is a very small car but that’s what the hubby likes.  His old car is a Del Sol which is even smaller and the reason he needed a new one is because: A. it’s a POS that could die at any moment; and B. it didn’t have a back seat for Remy.  We brought our car seat with us to test it out and it seems like it will fit just fine!  That was pretty much my only concern about the car.  If this were my car and I’d have to haul Remy in it every single day I wouldn’t enjoy it.  It seems like it will be more of a pain to get him in and out but Phil won’t be driving him around much and my vehicle is the primary vehicle when we go places.  As long as he fits comfortably then I’m happy.  Since it fit I said wrap it up, let’s take it home today.  After some “negotiating” we came to an agreement and took it home with us!  I am extremely pleased to have this ordeal done with and we are now the proud owner of two reliable vehicles!  I can’t wait to take it out for a spin!!

Vent Day!

Today’s vent is that I don’t get to spend enough time with my boy during the work week.  If I’m lucky I get 30-45 minutes with him in the morning before daycare and then when we finally get home at night I get about an hour and 15 minutes with him because he’s been going to bed at 7 p.m. lately.  Working full time is very difficult.  I just make sure to take advantage of my weekends with him!  I don’t ever like going somewhere without him!

I could not be any more in love with this little boy.  What I feel for my son is overwhelming sometimes.  I just love him to pieces!!!!

The Problem Child

Ugh, so Winston has yet ANOTHER ear infection.  He has had so many in the last 2 years that I lost count a long time ago.  I figured it was because he's the runt of the litter and he's just going to be a problem child forever.  I asked a lady at work what she thought because her hubby is a vet and she said he probably has a food allergy.  I would have never thought of that!  She said some dogs have food allergies and will get lots of ear infections, skin rashes, eye infections, etc.  Winston gets all of those things all the time.  She said it may be the corn, wheat, dairy, or something else but switching his food might do the trick.  Cheap dog food (which is what he eats) is high in those crappy ingredients.  So, I picked up some expensive dog food yesterday to see if that does the trick.  If it works then great!  It sucks that it's so expensive but it will probably be cheaper than more vet bills and medications!  Let's hope that does the trick!

Vent Day!

Well, I suppose I should get back to my vent day now that I’m back to work and things are back to normal.  Now that I get out of the house more I have plenty of things to vent about.  ;)

Today’s vent goes out to Ms. Crabbypattie whom I have to see on almost a daily basis.  Every single day you are crabby as a bear and you complain about EVERYTHING.  It sucks to be around you and have to speak to you.  I will go out of my way to not have to speak to you.  There is absolutely no reason why you need to be such a grumpy butt.  If you’re unhappy, change it.  Your happiness is in your hands.  You don’t need to bring the entire world down with you.
