Zero Cavities!

I’ve been saying for quite a long time that I need to go and so I just needed to suck it up and call and make an appointment. Well, I called and they said that they had a cancellation for today at 11:30 so I took it. I was fine until about an hour before the actual appointment. Then I got real nervous. I hate the dentist. I know most people hate the dentist but I HATE the dentist. I hate when they scrap your teeth and make your gums bleed, which they did. Just thinking about the scrapping now makes my teeth cringe. I’m glad I switched dentists because the dentist I went to today was able to tell me things that my old dentist never told me, or even knew. For example, apparently I still have a baby tooth. They say it is not uncommon and that mine is real strong and shouldn’t be a problem for a while. I forgot to ask how long a while is. Years? Decades? Anyways, eventually it will fall out. I also have my wisdom teeth coming in on my top teeth and they aren’t sure if they will need to pull them or not yet. They say most likely they will have to pull them because there isn’t much room there but they want to wait 6 months and check how they are doing. Anyways, that was the jist of my special day at the dentist. I just needed to vent that I HATE the dentist and now I have to go back in 6 months because of my wisdom teeth and my little gum problem. So in 6 months you will probably hear my whining about the fact that I have to have my wisdom teeth pulled and that my gums are getting worse so I have to go to a specialist. I’m not being pessimistic… just realistic.

I actually love the dentist! Weird, maybe?!? But I like how clean my teeth/mouth feels when I leave.
Well that's good that you have no cavities! I heard that they can actually get rid of cavities with a painless water jet now instead of drilling! Man, i really need to go once I get a job & insurance. I haven't been to one since middle school I think before I got my braces. Yikes!
Lynsie, you are a crazy lady! Nobody likes the dentist! Although I do have to agree that I like how clean my teeth are now.
Sarah, they did some type of water jet thing to get my teeth clean. It took all the built up tarter and crap off. You should really go to the dentist!! A typical cleaning doesn't really cost that much. I just don't go every year because the dentist is scary!
